QUESTIONNAIRE

The Gamemaster role requires creativity, knowledge, and most of all, vision.

Answer these questions as best you can to demonstrate these attributes.

Minimum effort will not be tolerated.

What is your level of experience with Garry’s Mod construction and tools?

Having spent so much time being a GM on SUP, I have a fairly confident response when asked this question. Being a GM allowed me to construct multiple structures for players to go through for events, training, PVE Events, etc. As for tools, controlling NPC’s Value’s is a breeze for me, given if the tools used on reborn if they’re the same from what I remember last.

Why do you want to become a Gamemaster?

Well, as of recently I have been becoming more and more invested in the server as i play everyday. Down below are a couple listed builtens of why I wish to become a Gamemaster Once more.
  • Activity: My activity on the server is strong. I spend anywhere between 2-4 hours on average on the server per day. One thing to note about my activity is that none of my hours are AFK, and I generally do not go online unless I am actively doing something. I’m adjusting to a different sleep schedule which will allow me to be flexibly active for the most part of the server’s uptime.
  • Passion: When I was writing this application, I was honestly hooked to be working on it. I was enjoying working on it so much that it was almost like, instead of having to push myself to work on the application, I actually had to hold myself back from going to GM on Sup once more. I have dabbled in story writing here and there, but have always somewhat fallen short because I didn’t really see a “purpose” to write. But now, putting in the idea of being a GM, story writing and event planning has taken a whole different direction, and it has very much sparked my interest. This passion will almost certainly play a strong part in making interesting and unique events, or at the very least entertaining events.
  • Willingness to Improve: I never concede to any belief that I have mastered anything, or that I know everything in regards to a certain topic or situation. I am almost always putting myself in situations where I will be learning something new, or improving on previous performance. This often means making mistakes along the way. I have made a number of mistakes, some minor and some major, in basically everything I have pursued, whether it be in IRL, or in the many aspects of this server. Each time I have fallen, I’ve gotten back up stronger and improved. Being a GM will almost certainly involve a process of trial and error - one in which I am willing to participate in.
  • Ability to Work in a Team: I have been involved in team settings for the past several years of my life. For about the past year I’ve been the customer service manager in a small company. On the server, I’ve recently tried my best to gain a grasp of the Event culter of the server, and have interacted with other players grasping an understanding of how they like to play events when other GM’s host them on a day to day basis. Being a part of the GM team means you’re going to have to work with people often. I have a lot of experience in that regard, as well as all the intricacies of interpersonal relations amongst people within teams. This part of my experience could be valuable as a GM.

Why should the community support your application, and what makes you more qualified than other players?

I think other players should support my app because of the dedication that I'm willing to put in to make each player's experience the best that they can be when they are playing on the server. This is because I want each player to enjoy their time on the server as I take GMing events very seriously to a degree where all player feedback is reflected upon and taken into account. Being a gamemaster on Sup provided me a lot of qualities when it comes to attending to players feedback being that you would host events with at least 100 players in attendance. Having this experience would help the server a lot when it comes to keeping a strong player base because I will consistently host events for players to enjoy and keep coming back too. As for what makes me qualified than other players is just the vast majority of experience I can bring to my events when it comes to being flexible.

Have you ever assisted in an event on Reborn in the past?

Being a previous Gamemaster on reborn i helped the other GM’s at the time helping with whatever i could from being a GM. As for the most recent time I have not partook in a event as a event character yet, but have not been offered the chance either. I think if I become a gamemaster that is something I'm going to give the players more chances to grasp is becoming an event character during events to get more of a grasp of the different types of ways you can enjoy yourself when it comes to rping on the server.

How well could you adapt to unplanned circumstances in something you have planned?

Actually, this is something that was a huge prerequisite when it comes to being a gamemaster over on Sup. You consistently had to be able to adapt to a player's choice and how they want to roleplay. A big thing that as a gamemaster you have to realize is that almost 100% of the time not everything is going to play out the way you want it, so being able to adapt to the players choices is a strong pillar. So i would say personally i can adapt to unplanned circumstances pretty well being that i had to do it consistently in the past.

What interests you most in the Star Wars universe?

I would say the vast majority of lore when it comes to the clone wars Era, being that i mained a CWRP server for 3 years. When it comes to the clone wars i personally am a huge nerd when it comes to it, but being that the clone wars is still star wars, i still hold a vast majority of knowledge when it comes to exo-lore. Star wars lore is really really big, from faction to factions having CIS, Jedi/Republic/Sith/Sepratist. Its almost impossible to not to be most fascinated with star wars lore. But Clone wars definitely takes the cake, from the vast majority of comics and It’s TV series. It definitely is the most intriguing part at least for me.

Now, taking what most interests you, craft a high-quality multi-part storyline (with characters, branches, anything that you see fit) that you could create multiple events from.

If your application is accepted, you will be required to start a multi-event storyline as part of your trial. It is recommended that this be the first draft of that storyline.

Backstory:

While doing an investigation on the planet of Tatooine, the regiment of the 62nd got tipped off to an illegal arms deal happening between two gangs on the planet. The 62nd Troopers then moved on to intercept the deal and arrest the gang members. After the raid, while doing an inspection on the weaponry they noticed it contained West-Ar’s and DC-15a’s, Republic items. Shortly after one of the detained members, a Transdoshan will admit to the 62nd Troopers that he is infact a member of the renowned gang; The Vultures, and that they have been stealing and smuggling goods from Republic bases on different planets and reselling them to other gangs, and factions around the galaxy. The 62nd Troops are now being sent to obtain the prisoner and find out any information possible about The Vulture’s, where they are located, and who their leader is. After they receive these details, they are to be sent to the planet so that the gang can be taken out once and for all, and Republic goods no longer have to be taken and sold.

Interrogation:
The 62nd Troopers will have the ability to interrogate the prisoner in custody to find out the location of The Vulture’s base and any other information that they can possibly get him to spill that will help better their information. This interrogation will be done upon the ship within their bunks. During this interrogation, depending on their roleplay they can find out some information that can ease their mission. For example, the prisoner can go in depth about the gang’s weapon stash on the planet which can be destroyed or raided to better the equipment that the 62nd will get, or they can find out about the base’s hidden codes which will allow them to just insert the codes into the consoles within the base and skip the splicing. Overall, this roleplay is determined by them. The better they roleplay and the more questions they ask will only better their chances of completing the objectives. As long as it is something feasible and not over the hedge, I am willing to adapt my GMing for them. From this point on I Personally can break off multiple events from the information they have gathered.

Post Interrogation:
After learning of The Vulture’s base and any additional information possible from the prisoner. They will depart towards the outer rim of Tatooine. Tatooines Outer Rim region can be used to inform the 62nd that they’re headed toward a sections where notorious gang affiliate with that part of the city. Perfect for hiding a secret base full of Republic smuggled equipment.Upon reaching this area, we can call “Davos” there will be a few locals who might hold some information regarding The Vultures who have been plaguing their town.

Event Chain Break off:
After all the information the 62nd troopers have gathered from this point, There are multiple ways that the troopers can interact with the information they are given that can create multiple events to deal with “The Vultures” From gathering information, to sieging compounds that they own, and seizing republic weapons, to learning about where they’re getting the information of republic goods and transports etc.

I definitely enjoyed reading this application and I think a lot of it plays in to what mindset a game master should have. You even have the guns planned out and not a lot of game masters think that far ahead in events. This is one of the best applications I personally have seen. The bullet points you made making points of why you think you should be a gm is amazing and shows you put some time in to this. You’re on a lot or atleast I see you. I think you would make a great addition to the team.
