I think gaming forums in general are a great place to get to know people in a community you haven't met/don't see around often and can help build connections through other things rather than just the server content itself. By diversifying the topics in places such as the general discussion forum section by adding things such as "Music, Movies, & Multimedia" &/or "Forum Games", it allows people to both find a way to meet new people with similar interests as well as build in a name the community through alternate avenues.
On more of a specific note, I think that a "Server Content Suggestions/Thoughts" section should be added so that feedback from the community on newly introduced content could be properly gauged/recorded. Adding to this, whenever ideas begin to run short for updates or coming up with new things is becoming a hassle, there could always be a community willing to give ideas away to help continue the process of new content!
